I loved Bird Box (the book, haven’t watched the film). Malorie is the sequal and it doesn’t hold a candle to its predecesor. It’s too brief. As far as what happens, a paragraph could cover the entire action. As for what happens in the characters… it feels too much like things happen TO the characters, but the characters themselves remain fixed, like cameras moving through scenery. I just didn’t feel drawn in. I didn’t care.
